Geerlings & Wade, Inc., founded in Massachusetts in 1986, is a direct marketer of premium, imported and domestic wines and wine-related merchandise directly to individual consumers.  We do so through two main channels.  First our consumer channel and secondly our Traveling Vineyard direct-selling, In-home tasting channel.For the consumer channel, we offer products through frequent promotions and marketing to existing and potential customers and an e-commerce web site.  We brand under both Geerlings & Wade and The Traveling Vineyard.  The Traveling Vineyard is experiencing tremendous growth.  There are 1,800 field consultants conducting thousands of tastings each month.  The company offers wines selected on the basis of their quality and price characteristics. Customers place orders in person or by mail, telephone, facsimile, email or via the Internet. In addition, they taste and select wines through the company at our in-home tastings.

 

 Job Title -  Sales and  Customer Service RepresentativeDESCRIPTION

The Call Center has full-time and part-time positions for experienced Inbound Sales and Customer Service Representatives. These positions report to one of two Call Center Managers. The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic, highly motivated and professional.  This is an hourly job and  flexible schedules may be arranged.

Key Activities· Answer all inbound sales calls in a prompt, professional and efficient manner

· Place orders for customers.  Upsell and cross sell as appropriate to meet company goals

· Answer questions concerning website use, product availability and promotions

· Updating or inputting customer information in system, including e-mail address

· Explain membership benefits to sell or renew

· Process orders while educating customers on wine and/or accessories

· Explain Passport Wine Club to sell and/or upgrade

· Process and respond to customer e-mail as related to sales

· Process and clear database order queues including, but not limited to, NEW, credit card declinations

· Handling Customer Service over-flow calls
