Sales Manager - Beauty & Cosmetics #145505
Summary of the Position: The Sales Manager position is one that requires a unique, entrepreneurial, insightful leader who is dynamic, engaging, resourceful, and confident.
The expectation is to achieve domestic sales goals for the company. The Sales Manager position is responsible for managing the reps’ performance, independent merchandisers and independent contractors, pursuing strategic retail partnerships on behalf of our clients and negotiating retailer contracts on behalf of our clients.
Qualifications Required: Strong negotiating, communication, management and interpersonal skills are a must. Prior Executive Sales experience is required; specifically working with national retail chains in the beauty industry. Effective big-picture project management as well as little-picture attention to detail is necessary. Strong leadership abilities and capability of communicating effectively between departments and sales force to ensure sales objectives can be met.
Skills: Strong leadership and management skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Experience managing sales team and possess strong relationship/team building skills Understanding of sales forecasting and budgeting Ability to multi-task Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications Spontaneous effective judgment and action Self reliance with the ability to manage up Flexibility, comprehension, and fortitude
Essential Functions: Develop retail store account growth through consistent personal visits to corporate offices of major retail partners. Develop, present, and implement achievable sales strategies. Coordinate with President, Account Executives/Reps and In-store Merchandisers and work with respective retail partners regarding: Stock and sales plan Profitability scenarios and solving any profitability issues Key retailer program development and oversight Space and location Competitive information Advertising & Promotional tools Retailer informationCoordinate and oversee the Sales Development process and communicate important brand information regarding: Communication of status of retail sales reporting & analysis Competitive information Promotional/sell thru/special event recaps Public relations efforts Establish, Oversee and Maintain Accurate Sales Forecasts for Company By account in both dollars and SKUs Update and interface with President for purchasing, marketing, and finance as to SKU and dollar forecasts Hire, Manage and Ensure the Goals of the Sales Team: Lead sales meeting, retailer meetings and attend tradeshows; Conduct quarterly performance reviews with sales team to help them achieve their target goals.
