SUMMARY:

This position is highly customer oriented and highly interactive with customers.  As a Sales Support Customer Service Representative, your main focus is to assist every customer or individual focusing on how you can help that customer feel that American Factory Direct is the source to help them achieve beautiful rooms and homes.  Your primary role is to assist customers in processing sales order transactions and assisting the customer in completing their purchases.  You will enter orders in the computer system, adjust or cancel sales, handle payments, assist in expediting customer pick ups, and bag or wrap accessory items for customers. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Assist sales associates in completing customer purchases.  Warmly greet the customer and verify the down payment amount, and the method of payment.  Check that the sales order is correct and complete, then process the payment Verify payment balance for customers wanting to pick up merchandise, then process paperwork and forward to warehouse Assist customers who are making payments.  Verify the balance due, and the payment amount they wish to make.  Check that the sales order is correct and complete, then process the payment. For customers paying the entire balance due, assist the customer in getting their merchandise scheduled for pick up or delivery through the Delivery or Order Status Department. Assist customers with accessory purchases Process accessory sales by inputting the sale, verifying the bar code and processing the payment Bag or wrap the item for the customer Balance all cash, check or credit card reports to the computer, and makes adjustments as needed. Correctly process the sales paperwork to handle customer returns or changes to sales orders and enter adjustments in the computer. Understand all company sales order requirements and policies.  Clearly communicate these sales order policies to the customer.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Superior communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of company computer systems. Superior data entry skills. Knowledge of all retail procedures, policies and systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office and retail showroom work environment. Very limited physical effort required.
