If writing your own success story interests you - Welcome to Hollywood!  Summary: Conduct day to day activities in the Sales Tax area.  These duties include: - Gathering revenue information to provide to outside compliance firm- Preparing journal entries and tax account reconciliations.- Review invoices for accurate tax accrual.- Prepare information for sales and use tax audits.- Supervise less complex sales and use tax audits.- Provide assistance to other departments within Hollywood/Movie Gallery on sales tax questions.- Assist in meeting department goals and accountabilities.- Assist with profit improvement projects through research and planning ideas.- Assists Manager with research and special projects. Qualifications: - Four year degree in Accounting or other business area.- Two years’ experience working at a multi-state company in the sales tax area.  In lieu of a degree, five years sales tax and accounting experience is required.- Proficient in Excel and Word- Proficient in internet research- Strong attention to detail- Superior organization and time management skills- Good communication skills- Takes pride in work- Punctual- Experience with Oracle and RIA Checkpoint desired- Retail industry background a plus  Hollywood Entertainment - which includes Hollywood Video and Game Crazy stores as well as our corporate offices and distribution centers - is dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for all our guests, as well as great career opportunities for all our partners.
