This position is responsible for learning to sell MAN Roland Sheetfed printing presses through the use of consultative selling techniques that align the MAN Roland solution to the client's business requirements.

Sales Training will be provided via an extensive orientation and development program focusing on product knowledge, sales/customer service training and overall business operations. Trainee will work with industry-leading producers receiving thorough on-the-job experience along with individual coaching and feedback focused on building effective performance. Training will last approximately 12 to 18 months depending on territory and individual abilities. This training will be completed both in Westmont, Illinois and in the field.

After successfully completing the training program, trainee must be willing to relocate to a pre-determined open sales territory and sell to achieve sales quota while maintaining strong overall customer satisfaction with product sale.

Phase 1:

o Complete the formal sales trainee orientation and development program including assigned rotations within Company’s marketing, sales administration, finance, product support and national service organizations o Under the supervision of the Director of Sales, conduct sales calls to promote and sell Sheetfed presses to new customers based on a strategic plan o Identify selling opportunities and work closely with the District Sales Manager to increase sales in their respective accounts o Assist in responding to requests for information from prospects o Prepare sales presentations o Attend and participate in sales meetings, demonstrations, associate training sessions and conventions as directed o Maintain current customer records

Phase II: Placement in sales position would occur only if assessment shows readiness and competence o Perform sales calls and develop new accounts, as planned in conjunction with the District Team o Establish and maintain rapport with key decision makers o Approach customers/prospects with a total solution/value added sales strategy o Achieve sales goals o Manage territory and analyze sales trends

REQUIREMENTS

o Bachelor’s degree

o 1-3 years of sales experience in printing industry o Ability to perform sustained physical work ethic in a fast-paced work environment and meet the defined physical activities, (lifting, bending, carrying, pushing, pulling, etc.) o Must be able to travel o Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
