Sales & Use Tax Manager We are a Billion-dollar company with headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee. Goody's is a retailer of moderately priced apparel for women, men and children, operating in 370+ stores in 20 states.The Sales & Use Tax Manager is responsible for all state and local taxes, other than income. The position will primarily work in the areas of sales and use, escheat property and annual reports. Responsible for performing tax research on a variety of topics and prepares all local income tax returns as well as monthly account analysis.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:· Responsible for reviewing the sales and use tax returns. · Prepares and files all annual reports and escheat property tax returns. · Assists in the income tax process by preparing various schedule M-1 calculations. · Prepares all local income tax returns. · Prepares monthly account analysis. · Responsible for managing all sales tax audits.REQUIREMENTS:Education: Bachelor's degree in either Business or Finance. A Master's degree in taxation would be desirable.Experience: Minimum of 5 years related experience in public accounting or with a public company with 1$ billion in sales revenue.General: Good working knowledge of sales and use tax, excellent computer skills and good written and oral communication skills are required.
