Location Brooklyn, NY 11201Status Full Time, EmployeeJob Category Sales/Retail/Business Development Job Description Security Director Overview:As a Security Director, you will be empowered to ensure that our store operates efficiently and achieves our shortage goals. Your scope of responsibility will include asset protection, payroll expense management, management of security staff and the directing of shortage initiatives, investigations and surveillances. This position leads to Regional Security, Special Investigations, Central Office, or Operations Director positions. Key Accountabilities: Complete all Security training requirements and maintain personal certifications as required by law Implement store shortage prevention and awareness programs Ensure selling floor security standards are maintained Monitor internal and external case productivity and recoveries Conduct investigations Manage payroll expense Recruit, interview and select qualified security staff Train, motivate and develop security team to reach their fullest potential and to maximize business opportunitiesb Ensure all procedures, policies, exposure standards and shortage awareness programs are thoroughly understood by security team Clearly communicate store and company objectives so both management and staff are well informedSkills Summary: Minimum of 5 years of Security management experience, preferably at the district or regional management level Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong leadership profile Strong negotiating skills Team player Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesMacy's is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
