Senior Director, Interactive Creative Group

Purpose and Scope: Responsible for co-leadership of the company’s Interactive Group, and for driving global interactive strategy and innovation for the company; serves the entire organization by concepting, planning and implementing digital projects such as web sites, kiosks, mobile, email, social media, portals, intranets, and other online marketing initiatives. Responsibilities: Co-leadership of the Interactive Group, Polo Ralph Lauren’s global internal interactive agency. Direct leadership over business development, production, marketing, information architecture and technology functions. Managing the company’s in-house technology infrastructure, which hosts all non-ecommerce initiatives. Collaborating with the retail, information systems, marketing, advertising and PR teams to set and drive interactive strategy. Co-leadership of the company’s web production process (with the ecommerce team). Innovating in the digital space through the use of new ideas, technologies, marketing campaigns, and partnerships. Evangelizing technology and digital media by identifying and solving business and marketing challenges across the company through the use of interactive technology. Partnering with the Director of Technology to manage front and back end technical development, infrastructure and network administration. Overseeing the management of a large portal and intranet environment, built on Microsoft’s Sharepoint Server. Playing a key role in the ongoing development of the company’s online presence with its wholesale partners. Direct ownership of the agency business model and budget. Concepting, scoping and driving new business initiatives with clients across all departments, and some licensees. Understanding and monitoring the competitive landscape. Advocating user experience in all projects through an understanding of best practices in information architecture and usability. Job Requirements: Minimum 8 years experience working in an ecommerce or interactive marketing environment. 4 year degree; MBA preferred. Enthusiastic, visionary individual, who can build excitement for interactive marketing and technology. Very familiar with the interactive and online retailing industries. Solid understanding of interactive technologies. Great writing, presentation and communications skills, including the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical business owners.
