Senior Leader of Warehousing

Position reports to the Vice President of Operations with 2 - 4 direct reports. The individual is accountable for the overall performance of dry, perishable, and/or frozen facilities that service approximately 100 retail stores.

 

Key objectives included maintaining a performance focused culture with great Partner relations, providing retail stores with outstanding service, efficiently utilizing assets and resources, and maintaining safe and sanitary conditions. The position achieves these expectations by providing strategic guidance, establishing challenging goals, mobilizing individual commitment, monitoring performance, implementing improvements, and providing leadership and direction. Other duties include: capital planning and budget generation, developing organizational capability, and coordinating product flow with Retail, Procurement, Manufacturing, and other Supply Chain entities.

 

This individual must be able to lead cross functional teams, align business strategies with customer needs, and develop cohesive teams of partners at all levels. They must also be able to foster an environment of strong business values and principles that support the company’s overall Core values.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5-7 years management  experience in a Distribution/Warehouse Environment

  • Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships

  • Demonstrated ability to enhance leadership talent

  • Advanced knowledge of compliance in related areas: industry, OSHA, EEOC

  and Employment Laws.

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated 

   experience with presentations to include cross-functional teams. 

  • Demonstrated success in working complex issues with management and

  Partners utilizing highly developed influencing skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Budget experience and Advanced knowledge of financial reports in one or more functional area(s).

  • Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives. 

  • High level of understanding of the distribution process.

  • Identifies change opportunities, establishes justifications and executes plan.
