Position Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:Serve as a strategic business partner for several corporate departments within the company by providing Human Resources expertise and support in order to contribute toward the overall achievement of strategic and tactical goals and objectives. Serve as the primary point of contact in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, benefits, compensation, performance management, organizational development and training. Work closely with the management teams providing strategic Human Resources consultation to optimize people, structure, process and culture, with the goal of achieving successful business results.PRIMARY DUTIES:20% • Acts as the single point of contact for the assigned client group while fostering strong partnerships with the specialist partners in order to support and contribute towards the company’s business initiatives. 20% • Provides coaching and feedback on how to improve individual and organizational performance to meet strategic and tactical goals and objectives20% • Works with assigned client groups in the design, development and execution of Human resources initiatives, including change management, training and development, succession planning, and performance management.20% • Represents the Human Resources department on any task force, projects and committees.10% • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance. Advises management on resolving ER issues in partnership with the director of employee relations. Responds to inquires regarding, policies and procedures.5% • Counsel management on progressive disciplinary process ensuring consistency and adherence to policies. Utilize the director of employee relations when necessary. Work with management to address issues and recommendations, and implement effective solutions for resolution.5% • Partner with Vice Presidents, directors, and management to ensure staffing needs are met. Participate in the Recruitment process if necessary by, interviewing and making recommendations to management throughout the recruitment process

Qualifications:
• Required Bachelors degree in HR, Business or related field or equivalent plus 7 + years of Human Resources Experience.• Experience in working with senior leaders in the design, development, and execution of human resources strategic initiatives, including change management, training and development, staffing, succession planning, and performance management. • Must have a strong generalist background with progressive experience• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing• Ability to apply sound business principals and practices to project management and change management processes• Strong ability to influence and exercise sound judgment• Must have technical knowledge of HR laws and regulations and excellent analytical and problem solving skills• Must be proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, Power Point • Preferred retail or consumer experience
