Senior Network Engineer

Responsibilities:Develop and maintain all systems, applications, security, and network configurations Troubleshoot network performance issues, create and maintain a disaster recovery plan Manage performance of a multiple hardware and software platform interface at the most complex levelSupport/maintain VMWare ESX Virtual Infrastructure, Microsoft back office products, SAN and related applicationsSupport and maintain a multi-vendor enterprise LAN / WAN infrastructure based on Cisco and HP equipmentParticipate in a rotating 24x7 on-call 2nd level support capacityAct as backup for desktop support personnel

 

Skills/Requirements:A minimum of 3 years of experience as an IT network engineer or any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience, which fulfills the requirements of the position, will be consideredA minimum of 1 year of administering VMWare ESX server in an enterprise environment A minimum of 1 year of administering enterprise SAN technologies Cisco Certification (CCNA minimum, CCNP preferred) Microsoft certification (MCSA minimum, MCSE preferred) Strong knowledge of TCP/IP DNS DHCP Active Directory MS Windows Server operating systems and back office products Strong understanding of ATM / Frame-Relay and other wide-area technologies Experience with supporting enterprise security products Experienced at developing and maintaining data protection strategies
