We are currently seeking a Product Developer to join our Corporate Team.
The Senior Product developer reports directly to the Vice President of Merchandising and plays a key role in the day to day management, growth and long term vision for World Series of Poker, Cher, Bette and Toby Keith departments.
Job Responsibilities
Maintains/ heightens corporate image and graphic standards across all brands and merchandise product classifications in all markets and retail locations.
Performs active and continuous market research to find the best resource for all product lines in terms of price, creativity, quality, production capability and technology.
Maintains competitive vendor structure. Performs regular competitive shopping reports. Attends major trade shows.
Assortment planning: Determines assortment needs, voids and opportunities. Structures appropriate selection of items within a classification based on brand, desired retail range, theme and floor space.
Custom Product Development: Initiates product concepts. Finds appropriate resources. Negotiates best pricing and obtains competitive bids when appropriate. Takes product through artwork, sample and approval stages.
Achieves sales, inventory and gross margin plans. Forecasts sales; determines quantities and locations for product lines; manages reorders, sell through and exit strategy.
Maintains efficient inventory levels at store and warehouse; establishes and monitors Auto Replenishment levels. Effectively controls gross margin factors including initial retail pricing and markdowns.
Sales Analysis/ Reporting: Reports weekly department sales. Analyzes and reports monthly sales by department, class and location. Recognizes and reacts to sales trends.
Maintains Open to Buy with submittal of Purchase Orders. Maintains clean on order status.
Manages, trains and develops Merchandise Coordinator.
Communicates all relevant information regarding product with the Distribution, Planning, Visual, Operations and Accounting staffs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Entertainer's management teams.
Qualifications
5 Years product development experience
Proficient at Word, Excel, Retail software and sales/inventory management
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
Multiple store buying experience
High School diploma
Brand manaement experience
