We encourage our employees to succeed professionally and maximize their potential by becoming part of our dynamic team.The Information Technology Group- TSG - Planning, Architecture, & Delivery Services Group, located in Walnut Creek, California or Phoenix, AZ has an opening for a Senior level Project Manager. Qualifications: The following are required unless specifically stated as preferred or desired:• Minimum 8-10 years experience in the role of Project Manager or related account management role. • BS/BA in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or related. • PMI or PRINCE2 certification required. • ITIL Foundations Certification desired.• Strong understanding of Program Management Office disciplines.• Possess domain expertise in Project Management.• Information Technology experiences to include one or more of the following: Structured Development Methodology, Application Development, Application Delivery, Enterprise Systems Management, and/or Systems Integration. • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.• Ability to build constructive business relationships and gain the trust of others. • Technical knowledge should include: RUP, UML, MS Project, Visio, and MS Office. • Technical knowledge of MSP server.• Familiar with What if Analysis and Monte Carlo Analysis.• Technical knowledge in Relational Databases and reporting Tools like Crystal Reports extremely helpful.• Demonstrated ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve conflicts across workgroups. • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage external vendors. • Demonstrated ability to manage complex project finances including external contracts and licensing.• Self-motivated and ability to work independently. • Ability to work collaboratively and influence others.• Previous experience managing within a matrix environment. • Able to manage through ambiguity as needs change on a regular basis. • Excellent communications skills (written and oral), customer service skills and problem solving skills. • High degree of initiative and sense of urgency. • Self-confidant; commands authority and respect at all levels. • Positive and supportive attitude.• Previous exposure to IT Operations environments a plus.• Previous experience managing a project through the entire lifecycle (not just initial development & testing). Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Provide excellent service to all stakeholders. • Develop strong working relationships and gain trust at all levels of the organization to ensure overall project portfolio satisfaction. • Manage multiple process improvement efforts of moderate to high scope, budget, risk and complexity. • Work with ease across the organization from VP’s to developers. • Review scope and deliverables of all IT projects and determine the appropriate skill set needed to successfully deliver the project. • Match specific IT resources (onshore and offshore) to IT and business projects based on specifications of desired skills, or implied project skill set requirements.• Create and maintain a resource skill set database for IT resources.• Perform capacity planning with IT Management to determine ongoing resource needs.• Ensure that adequate resources are assigned to projects.• Develop strong working relationships at all levels in the business and IT community to ensure overall project portfolio satisfaction. • Participate in IT executive steering committee with responsibilities for annual IT capital/operating budget. • Assure adherence to established processes and procedures.• Work with business representatives, IT Management, and IT development and support teams to ensure on time, on budget, quality delivery of technical solutions that support the strategic direction of the business and IT. • Act as a role model by providing leadership and direction to team members in areas that affect project tasks and deliverables.• Serve as Business Analyst or Process Analyst when situations call for such skills.
