Senior Representative, Inventory Control

We’re a leading consumer-driven footwear company and wholesale supplier of women’s fashion shoes to U.S. department stores under brand names like Naturalizer, Via Spiga, Franco Sarto and LifeStride. We’re a marketer and supplier of brand-name, private label and licensed footwear to department stores, mass-merchandisers, and independent and specialty stores.Position Accountabilities: Assures effective development, implementation and continuous improvement of processes to ensure: Physical inventories are efficient and accurate Issues are handled immediately Resources are utilized effectively Assures store physical inventories are scheduled, conducted, and processed efficiently and accurately Assures physical and financial inventory integrity is maintained through operational compliance Assures the effective lead of efficiencies in system and operational inventory processes among all retail businesses, ensuring proper workload allocationPosition Essential Functions: Maintains thorough knowledge of Inventory Control, the physical inventory process, General Ledger and the accounts that they affect, and all tracking and reporting systems Leads effort on integrating new retail businesses into the Brown Shoe model including learning new business’s processes and procedures and assisting/training team to ensure optimal customer service Leads month-end processes for Naturalizer, ensuring a timely and accurate close Provides store support, reporting, and financial analysis for all new retail business’s field team Works with external inventory processing companies to ensure high levels of performance are achieved Ensures the timely and accurate execution of the critical activities related to the store physical inventories and overall inventory integrity, working with field management on operational compliance and issuing reports on inventory results Ensures associates are completing their assigned responsibilities accurately and on time Backs up all Associate functions in case of illness or vacationPosition Specifications: Educational Preference: Associate or Bachelors degree Job Experience Preference: Basic accounting / book keeping Basic auditingSoftware/Hardware Experience Preference: MS Word, MS Excel, PeopleSoft, UAR Personal Computers Mainframe computersCommunication Skills
