DESCRIPTION
American Apparel, an innovative and fast-growing clothing manufacturer and retailer in Downtown Los Angeles, is looking for a talented experienced Designer to work on our web team. We need someone who is a site design expert with clean and focused design. You must be driven to create great web experiences that are easy to understand, compelling, and functional.

This senior level design position demands a keen eye for clear information design, typography, and user experience. Working together with our production managers you will be responsible for developing wireframes and designs for our .Net, Ecommerce, Intranet, and Emerging sites. Advanced Flash capabilities is also desired. You must be exceedingly detail oriented - to the point obsession. You must be willing to go the extra mile and driven to not just do a good job, but to do a GREAT JOB.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Minimum 2-5yrs of Web design experience.
Assume lead design responsibilities for overall graphic design of internally  developed applications and online services.
Developing Wireframe concepts into functional and aesthetically pleasing page  designs.
Collaborating in the development of sophisticated Flash projects with the  ability to interface with back-end programming.
Art Directing designers to assist you in completing the final vision.
Strong understanding of Ecommerce standards and concepts.
Well versed in Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, and Flash as well as any  additional wire-framing applications.
Ability to communicate with programmers and develop concepts with  technology in mind.
Strong English communication skills, but fluency in another language is  preferred: Spanish, French, German, Italian, or Japanese.
