Individuals who are driven to earn our customers' trust and business every day, who act with integrity, who treat everyone fairly and value diversity, and who are accountable for their actions are welcome to show interest in becoming a member of our winning team.The softlines merchandising lead role is focused on enhancing the experience of our customers and driving sales through: Providing proactive support to customers and associates Executing merchandise & visual presentation standards Ensuring the sales floor is Ready all Day Facilitating the efficient flow of merchandise to the sales floorScopeSoftlines merchandising leads are responsible for the selection, scheduling, training, coaching, supervision and performancemanagement of a team of MCA associates, while personally contributing to the productivity of the team at least 25% of the time.Responsibilities also include customer satisfaction, sales, margin, merchandise presentation standards, Ready all Day standardsand inventory protection standards.JOB DESCRIPTIONKey Roles and ResponsibilitiesCustomer Assistance: Takes ownership for enhancing the customer experience within area of responsibility and entire store when acting as customerservice manager. Leads by example to set a customer-focused environment for entire team. Provides daily coaching and training for Apparel MCAs on Fast, In-Stock and Helpful tactics to enhance each customersexperience. Observes Apparel MCAs execution of customer interraction and provides coaching and training where opportunities exist(e.g., Smile and say, Hi! Welcome to Sears, to every customer that comes within working area). Personally understands and teaches signals for help and how to respond immediately to support customers. Partners with selling associates and cashiers to provide Fast, In-Stock and Helpful Service (e.g., locate merchandise, ringregister, assist customers, answer phones).Driving Sales: Reviews sales performance daily (WE-50) and immediately reacts to opportunities and deficiencies. Develops a solid relationship with geographic replenishment team at store support. Trains and coaches team on merchandising, visual presentation and customer service tactics that will enhance sales.Presentation Standards: Coaches and trains MCA team on Sears merchandise & visual presentation standards and their impact on sales and customerservice : Collateral to include: Costumers, forms, ladders and auto-poles are set to MSP direction and maintained. Fashion-line changes (seasonal, typical, special projects) planned and flawlessly executed. Adjust presentations based on sell through and notify in-store support team to ensure price and sign accuracy. Shopabilty & inventory control guidelines are in place throughout the day to make shopping easy for our customers.Ready all Day: Walks the sales floor with softlines MCA team to make adjustments that ensure each department is easy to shop, fashionforward, clean and organized for our customers. Ensures softlines MCAs maintain fitting rooms and central aisle cashier stations. Walks check list with MCA team to ensure standards are in place at all times.Job DescriptionMerchandise Flow: (New Receipts, Replenishment and Returns) Coordinates movement of new receipts to the sales floor in a timely fashion creating a fashion forward look for customers. Train softlines MCA team on how to: Utilize the pull-list and fill-floor process to replenish sales floor and avoid out-of-stock situations and lost sales. Use SNC to upload out-of-stock bins/hooks to expedite reorder of merchandise. Stock the sales floor throughout the day for maximum in-stock condition. Adjust bulk stacks and endcaps as necessary to create an impactful message Pull and stage MRN merchandise in the RTV areaMISCELLANEOUS Staffs and schedules associates to match flow of goods and event timelines. Manages inventory control processes and procedures. Coaches team to be aware of all customers while on the sales floor Adheres to merchandise protection standards at all times. Follows all applicable laws, regulations and company policies. Fosters a team environment. Demonstrates flexibility to work in multiple areas as required by workflow and initiatives.
