Specialist, Cause & Event Marketing

We’re a leading consumer-driven footwear company and wholesale supplier of women’s fashion shoes to U.S. department stores under brand names like Naturalizer, Via Spiga, Franco Sarto and LifeStride. We’re a marketer and supplier of brand-name, private label and licensed footwear to department stores, mass-merchandisers, and independent and specialty stores.Position Accountabilities: Assures the successful development and implementation of Famous Footwear’s national cause marketing program with the March of Dimes Assures successful implementation of local marketing plans via Regional Sales Director team Assures coordination, communication, & event management of Home Office and DC associate-focused charitable giving programs including March of Dimes and United Way Assures timely, effective communication and planning of promotional radio added-value opportunities (i.e. remotes, shoe crazy remotes, additional sponsorships, etc.) Assures assistance:In flawless execution of event marketing strategies & tactics for marketing functional area. With vendor supported co-op for the Rewards Loyalty Program Position Essential Functions:Continues to grow the annual in store fundraising campaign to achieve and surpass our March of Dimes sponsorship commitment Evolves national cause marketing efforts beyond the one-time-per-year in store fundraiser Grows local March of Dimes partnership to create more awareness for and support of the program by Famous Footwear associates Develops cause marketing initiatives that enhance other functional area’s objectives (i.e. grand openings, seasonal events, radio added-value opportunities, etc.) Effectively communicates cause marketing plans to appropriate cross-functional areas including field/store associates Reviews all local sponsorship proposals and make recommendations based on Famous Footwear’s giving policy; meets with organizations to review proposals when necessary Develops and maintains a sponsorship database, including recaps of each event/organization sponsorship Maintains relationships with outside vendors to ensure appropriate fulfillment and execution for all event-marketing initiatives. Works closely with media team to communicate radio remote schedule to field and station reps during each remote drive, including the analysis of feedback and problems. Coordinates development of remote collateral materials for each drive, as well as fulfillment of those items to stations and stores Continues to evaluate radio added-value process to ensure the success of the program Ensures internal and external vendors comply with sweepstakes regulations per State and IRS Standards.Position Specifications: Educational Preference: 4 year degree in marketing or related field Job Experience Preference: 3-5 years marketing experience Experience working in cause marketing Retail experience Project Management/Account Executive experience Software/Hardware Experience Preference: MS Office Suite, Internet, email programsCommunication Skills
