In this challenging role, you will develop, implement and manage HR programs that support and drive business plans
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversee company health/welfare and casualty/safety programs; manage vendor relations with third party administrators
· Ongoing research and analysis of current benefit plan designs; makes recommendations of plan design changes to ensure continuing competitiveness and cost effectiveness
· Oversee unemployment compensation management program
· Manage performance management process for home office and the stores organization
· Oversee compensation related issues; conduct market analysis and review. Recommend and implement best practice compensation policies, program and initiatives.
· Ensure compliance with benefit plan provisions, government regulations and labor contracts
· Partnering with executives on forecasting and budgeting for their departmentsOversee employee relation issues for the stores and Home Office; Partner with internal customers to provide HR counsel and coaching
REQUIREMENTSBS/BA in Human Resources or related area5-7 years extensive HR experience in benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, and compensationMust have supervisory experienceDemonstrated success in developing and implementing HR programs Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of HR, and all applicable labor, pay, benefits, health, and safety laws and regulations; must have understanding of employment law at federal, state and local levelDemonstrated ability to build and establish positive and productive relationships as all levels of the businessProficiency in computer and office toolsStrong analytical skillsStrong relationship building skillsExceptional communication skillsAbility to plan and administer policies relating to all phases of HR activity by performing duties personally or through a subordinateMust have initiative, integrity and emotional intelligenceA ‘can do’ attitude and ability to mentor and develop a teamPHR/SPHR certification preferred
