Currently we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting department.

 

General Overview:

 

Primary responsibility will be to manage the daily occupancy accounting process for the Company’s many retail locations. This position will work closely with various levels of management, auditors and accounting personnel. This is a hands-on position that requires an individual with a demonstrated ability to work independently and analyze, investigate and resolve accounting related issues with many internal and external contacts.



 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 

· Responsible for the accounting close process for various balance sheet and P&L accounts including all occupancy accounts

· Serve as the primary contact with the external auditors regarding all occupancy accounts

· Involvement with SOX section 404 testing, test designs and internal control reviews related to the occupancy process

· Analyze actual to budget variance for all areas of occupancy accounting as well as various other P&L accounts

· Responsible for preparing the occupancy expense budget for all Company locations

· Assist with the preparation and review of the monthly and quarterly reporting packages



 

Job Requirements:

· BS/BA in Accounting required

· 3-5 years minimum experience in public (Big 4) and private accounting

· CPA preferred

· Lawson experience a plus

· Prior occupancy accounting experience a plus

· Good understanding of GAAP

· Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite

· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
