Purpose: As a Sr. Data Integration Analyst, your primary responsibilities will be to work with multiple client and project teams to understand business objectives, provide corresponding analysis and/or recommendations, contribute to project implementations and present final analytical results or implement production level reporting solutions. You will work with multiple teams to ensure that future data quality processes associated with launching, navigating and searching for items on target.com are created and adopted successfully. You will test, monitor, and improve data quality associated with Target.coms item data and ensure that our data structure and processes support Target.com sales, profitability and guest experience. You will be expected to work with data analysis and reporting tools to support project objectives. See Yourself: Working with project and business teams to understand business requirements and analysis plans associated with item data initiatives. Translating business requirements into data design requirements used for driving data designs that meet business objectives. Participating in developing corresponding test cases with project team members. Understanding, incorporating and influencing the current and future structure of item data to ensure business objectives are being met. Participating in the technical implementation of new data source feeds, including developing test plans, from the business perspective. Responsibilities may include source system data analysis, data mapping, logical data modeling, and physical database design. Proactively evaluating and improving the data gathering/acquisition and transformation processes that affect data quality. As a key participant and driver in creation of data conceptual (or logical) model based on business rules captured from the business requirements. Updating data warehouse conceptual model as needed (additional subject areas / entities / attributes). Creating and maintaining thorough documentation. Validating initial feeds of existing and new data sources Serving as a resource to project team with data analysis, modeling and measurement skill sets as well as data expert on underlying business rules and data sources for end users Ensuring data quality of on-going data feeds through the development of monitors to track key data variables. Applying business rules that support and enforce data quality standards Ensuring data definitions / meta data are maintained and accessible to users Ensuring strong client service and satisfaction (and minimize problems and concerns) through pro-active communication of progress against project timelines. Consulting with project teams regarding data architecture, including the facilitation of information gathering sessions, provide data analysis services and document them as required. Participating in walk-thrus, reviews, and inspections of project deliverables. Interfacing with the Target business clients to present intermediate and final reporting or analytical results. Other duties and projects as assigned.Job Requirements:Minimum Requirements: Four year college degree (computer sciences, statistics, mathematics, finance or other business related field) and/or 4-6 years equivalent work experience in IT or related field 4-6 years experience with database analysis or modeling. Extensive experience working with databases supporting complex business rules. Knowledge of logical and physical database design and implementation. Ability to facilitate design sessions with subject matter experts to define data requirements and resolve requirements issues. Working knowledge of data QA methodologies, data governance and/or data issue tracking management Ability to work well under pressure with deadlines, multiple and competing priorities and in a "still being defined" data architecture . Must be capable of successfully supporting multiple projects concurrently Good documentation and process modeling skills; organized with thorough attention to detail. Ability to create reports, present them convincingly, and facilitate discussion groups. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
