Sr Maintenance Technician - Monroe, NJ

Essential Functions: Responds to all work orders related to the Rapistan conveyor system  Responds to all work orders related to the forklift fleet.  Performs preventative maintenance on all lift equipment.  Performs preventative maintenance on all conveyor systems.  Ensures that an appropriate in-house supply of parts is available.  Examines and maintains protective guards and other safety devices on all equipment and makes adjustments as necessary.  Perform general maintenance of facility equipment.  Enters work order, work log and parts information in to the maintenance program.  Assist where needed in the facility  Operates, programs and uses PLC’s  Able to work with AC voltage up to and including 480VAC 3 phase.  Able to perform maintenance on Industrial Batteries, including watering, washing, testing and repair  Repair and maintain Hydraulic systems  Repair and maintain dock door and leveling equipment  Repair and maintain racking systems  Repair and maintain plumbing and systems  Repair and maintain sprinkler systems  Repair and maintain air compressor and dryer equipment  Repair and maintain pneumatics  Perform general construction work including construction rough in, drywall, etc  Be able to weld  Be Extremely Computer Literate must have ability to install programs, and work with ladder logic  Interface with Vendors as required (Raymond and Intelligrated)  Operate Electrical testing equipment.Requirements: High School education. Military or Trade school background preferred. Mechanical, Electrical or Electro mechanical aptitude, experience in forklift maintenance, conveyor maintenance or a related field. Forklift factory certification strongly desired. WORK CONDITIONS Physical conditions Work at heights up to 50 feet Exposure to fumes from grinding and welding Exposure to dust from grinding and welding Exposure to vibration from power tools Exposure to hot surfaces from welding Be able to lift up to 100 lbs. Chemical Conditions Battery Acid Lubricants Paint Cleaning Solvents Detergents Equipment Used: Pallet jack, reach lift, boom lifts, turret trucks, sit down lifts, order pickers, skid loaders and tugs.Education/Training Required: Basic knowledge of arithmetic. Ability to read and write English. Certification on all forklift equipment provided by Staples. Computer literacy a requirement. Approximately 3 months on the job training provided.
