A notable number of our top executives began their careers with Staples.This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the disbursement related operations. This includes the Accounts Payable and Payroll Teams. Organization consists of approximately 80 to 90 associates. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing direction and guidance to the teams in order to ensure the successful and timely delivery of agreed upon services and service levels for Accounts Payable and Payroll processing. Assisting the Director, SSSC in developing and negotiating service level agreements (SLAs) with the internal and external customers. Manage the teams’ performance to ensure service levels are in compliance with SLAs. Assist Service Manager with the development and execution of monthly performance reports including actual performance and commentary Ensure customer satisfaction by effectively communicating and helping to meet the customer’s needs. Coordinate with the Director and other Functional Managers to execute the SSC strategy. Continuously identify and implement improvements to the processes and within the teams. Expert People Management Skills Strong Leadership Skills Excellent Relationship ManagementRequirements:Bachelor Degree8 to 10 years experienceService Delivery Strong finance and accounting skills. Knowledge of Procure to Pay and Payroll leading practices. Ability to interpret and analyze financial data. Ability to resolve exceptions and disputes. Possess end-to-end knowledge of the Payables Processing and Payable Support process Ability to manage internal and external customer expectations. Ability to address and resolve complex internal and external customer issues including high-risk, high-profile customer issues. Ability to analyze internal customer needs through soliciting, evaluating and acting upon internal customer feedback.Other Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience building/managing teams. Ability to work well under pressure. Demonstrated high degree of interpersonal, coaching facilitation and negotiating skills. Experience managing to key performance indicators and performance targets. Track record of providing satisfying internal customers. Experience working with Oracle Accounts Payable, GL and PeopleSoft Payroll. Retail industry experience preferred. Experience with Shared Services/internal service provider preferred. Experience delivering services in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA).
