Sr. Programmer/Analyst

The Programmer/Analyst (Store Systems) will have the primary responsibility of designing, implementing, and supporting hardware and applications within the Store Systems area. This individual will be responsible for assisting the Store Systems management and technical team in both support and project initiatives.

Must possess the ability to:
• Utilize database query tools for application support.
• Participate in all levels of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Participate in meetings with users to determine requirements and scope
• Assist in the creation of functional design deliverables
• Complete detailed and technical design deliverables
• Review detailed and technology design deliverables
• Identify and correct application software problems
• Monitor and resolve system performance issues
• Communicate and interact effectively with non-technical users
• Assist end users in resolving and identifying system issues by providing application knowledge and technical expertise
• Assist users through creation and execution of test plan
• Train users in use of new system
• Participate in generation of user documentation
• Become a Subject Matter Expert for an application and support all end user functions within that application.
• Execute tasks with little oversight.
• Design/Configure/Support Microsoft Windows solutions for a distributed hardware environment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues within a distributed environment
• Design/Configure/Support secure solutions for wireless networks within the stores.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call support activities




Qualifications:

• Four year degree in Information Systems or an equivalent combination of course work and job experience.
• 5-7 years of systems analysis and programming experience; minimum one year of project design activities
• Proficiency with C, C++, or Java; C# a plus
• Experience supporting customers within an application environment.
• Working knowledge of Database concepts and tools
• Training or Experience designing/managing a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Training or Experience with scripting technologies such as j-script, vbscript, and batch.
• Training or Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with PC hardware.
• Training or Experience with wireless network management.
• Strong communication skills
• Working knowledge of PCs including software and hardware
• Troubleshooting and problem solving skills a must.
