Sr Programmer / Analyst - eCommerce

The Sr Programmer / Analyst will be responsible for the determination of specifications, technical design, maintenance, development, modification and expansion of highly complex new and existing programs for eCommerce projects.  This person will be a technical resource to staff in all phases of the development and implementation process and to assist with documentation and support implementation efforts. The Sr Programmer / Analyst will conduct code and design reviews as well as suggest white box test cases to the Quality Assurance team.  This position will include occasional after hours support for production support issues.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Computer Science or its equivalent plus a minimum 6 years of extensive IT industry experience.

This person must have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in developing Internet / eCommerce applications using JAVA, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML and OOPs methodology. In addition, knowledge of HTML, AJAX, JavaScript, UNIX shell scripts and SQL is a must. 

This person must have good experience in developing Internet / eCommerce applications using WebLogic application server, Netscape Enterprise Server and/or Apache Web Server. Additionally, experience with Blue Martini is highly desired. This person must have expertise in Unix and Windows platforms as well as a solid understanding of database platforms such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and/or MYSQL.  They must have knowledge of a source control management system, and have knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle. Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word and Excel applications is a plus, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and must be able to work under minimal supervision and possess strong communication skills.  Must possess critical problem solving skills.  Must be familiar with IT best practices around build and release management.  This person must have skills to mentor Junior Team Members.
