If writing your own success story interests you - Welcome to Hollywood!  Job Responsibilities: The Staff Account will assist in the management of timely and accurate month-end closing processes, assist the Treasury Dept. to facilitate reporting needs and objectives, and assist the Banking and Credit Card Relationship Manager with special projects. Period End Close: Assist in period-end close including journal entries, account reconciliation and account analysis. Assist and review procedural improvements associated with the period-end close. Assist in Treasury financial reporting Maintain adherence to current Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Assist with developing and implementing improved internal controls both at the departmental and corporate levels.Other Analysis and Projects: Assist with preparation of monthly management financial information as requested Assist with implementation of reporting systems Coordinate accounting word with other departments in the company to assure management needs for financial reporting and services are met. Position Qualifications:   Minimum Education: BA/BS in AccountingMinimum Experience: The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years work experience in accounting.  New graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply. Understanding of both Accounting and Finance.Preferred Experience: Ability to work well in a fast paced environment. Desire to learn and develop and advance within the company. Work experience within a large national CPA firm. Retail accounting experience.Required Skills: Advanced user knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
