Store Maintenance & Remodel Manager

We’re a leading consumer-driven footwear company and wholesale supplier of women’s fashion shoes to U.S. department stores under brand names like Naturalizer, Via Spiga, Franco Sarto and LifeStride. We’re a marketer and supplier of brand-name, private label and licensed footwear to department stores, mass-merchandisers, and independent and specialty stores.Position Accountabilities:Assures that all Famous Footwear and Specialty Retail stores are maintained, repaired, secured and serviced within company standards and budgetAssures that assigned Famous Footwear and Specialty Retail remodeling projects (carpet replacements, fixture layout changes, lighting upgrades, sign upgrades, and other capital movements) are completed on schedule and within budgetAssures that all unplanned “emergency repairs” are expedited to immediately correct safety hazards, eliminate disruption to business operations and minimize exposure to additional repair cost Assures that all store closings are effectively planned and executed, resulting in on-time turnover of spaces to landlords and cost-effective reallocation of fixtures, supplies and assets from closed stores to new and/or existing storesPosition Essential Functions: Manages national programs and services for maintaining all Famous Footwear and Specialty Retail stores, including maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, storefront glass, and other maintenance and repairsCoordinates assigned remodeling projects, including: planning, scheduling, bidding, permitting, contracting, constructing, fixturing and sign installing for assigned projectsManages store closings, disposition of store assets and “broom clean” condition required to turnover space to landlordsManages day to day business relationships with general contractors, vendors, suppliers and consultants Initiates and manages national programs and services to reduce and control expenses associated with store maintenance and remodelsPosition Specifications: Educational Preference: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Administration, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience Job Experience Preference: 3 years experience in construction and facilities management Previous experience in retail store planning, construction and/or maintenanceStrong project management and customer service skills, as well as, technical, managerial, and communication skills Software/Hardware Experience Preference: Strong Microsoft Excel experienceCommunication Skills
