Store Manager for a New Vintage Clothing Store

The Clothing Warehouse, the largest classic vintage clothing store in the country, is now expanding to Baltimore. We are looking for an awesome store manager to be part of the team. We also need you to help build the store and the brand. This is where your sense of style will be applied to what types of vintage clothing we will carry in the store. You will also be integral with the people who work at the store by hiring a few employees to help you with your tasks. Here are few of your responsibilities ... 

Sales/Customer Service 
- Motivating and inspiring employees to exceed their sales goals 
- Setting a great example for others to follow (positive, outgoing, etc) 
- Creating an environment where customers will want to keep coming back 

Managing Store Employees 
- Recruiting, selecting and training new employees 
- Teaching sales associates how to assemble outfits, up-sell and add-on to purchases 
- Evaluate and provide constructive feedback 

Controlling Costs 
- Ability to analyze the stores revenues and expenses 
- Create ways to increase store profit 
- Reduce inventory shrink and come up with ideas to control or reduce costs 

Managing Merchandise 
- Display merchandise with a high degree of visual standards 
- Tracking merchandise (best sellers, what needs to be put on sale, etc) 
- Order new merchandise & pricing inventory (usually weekly) 

Special Events 
- Create, plan and manage special events (i.e. fashion shows, community night's out, etc) 
- Coming up with ways to make the store a fun environment in which to work 
- Knowing that you and your ideas will matter! 

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of retail store management experience, proven track record of success, preferably a degree in fashion merchandising, retail management, business or a related field and of course passion for clothing.
