Store Manager for new SoHo Boutique

Rosa Cha, the Brazilian luxury swimwear brand, is opening a boutique in Soho.  The successful Store Manager will have broad management, sales, client development, marketing and public relations responsibilities.  He/she will have evident personal flare and inspire confidence and respect with internal and external customers by nature of his/her presence, personality and professional integrity.  The self-motivated, proven leader  will have a passion for retail, women's fashion and possess an entrepreneurial spirit and drive.  A background in women's luxury retail ready-to-wear, lingerie/swimwear or shoes/accessories is desired.  An initial week of  travel to Sao Paulo, Brazil  to gain an understanding of the Rosa Cha brand is required.



Responsibilities:

- Recruit, hire and train all store employees.

- Plan and execute all phases of the new store opening (logistics, initial product delivery, all back of house operations, money management, etc) in partnership with company Retail Consultant.

- Supervise all operations of the store (staff scheduling and payroll, implementation and management of store policies and procedures, shipping and receiving of product and managing /verifying all paperwork, store maintenance, creating visual displays and maintaining store visual standards, clientele development and involvement with the seasonal buying process.)

- Achieve sales plan and expense goals.

- Passion for creating an extraordinary customer experience.

- Stimulate sales and raise brand awareness through partnership with local PR department and wholesale division.

- Develop initiatives that bring greater exposure to the Rosa Cha store by focusing on new clients, referrals and prospecting clients.  Develop relationships/network with other SoHo boutique managers.

- Ensure a strong merchandising vision and strategy while optimizing inventory levels and stock turn.

 

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Fashion, Marketing, Design or a related field.

- A minimum of 2 years of previous experience as a Store Manager or Senior Assistant Store Manager.

- A minimum of 5 years in the retail fashion industry.

- Proven experience in staff recruitment, training and development.

- Strong communication, customer service and organizational skills.

- Entrepreneurial spirit and drive.

- Previous experience developing, planning and  executing successful store events.

- A bright, outgoing, driven, focused, confident leader

- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

- Ability to perform all Store Manager functions, including standing for extended periods, speaking clearly with customers and employees, climbing ladders to change displays, stocking and retrieving merchandise, unloading shipments and using basic cleaning equipment and solvents to maintain store appearance.
