Vendor Relations Supervisor, Major Group
Salary Commensurate with Experience.
Description:

The Vendor Relations Supervisor will supervise the activities of the Major Group which is responsible for the top 300 active textbook and merchandise vendors.  In addition to the Top 300 vendors, this position will also supervise the 17+ key Statement Pay vendors. In this role you analyze accounts and have a full understanding of our vendors shipping, billing, and return practices for over $200 million in annual purchases.  You will be responsible for developing a committed, motivated, and professional staff.  In addition, you will empower the staff via a shared authority and responsibility to effectively communicate with the vendors, stores and home office personnel in a timely manor. 

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree and over five years related experience required. Extensive negotiation and prior supervisory experience required. Retail industry experience is highly desired. Must have strong  mathematical, analytical and written and oral communication skills. Must be able to manage multiple projects/tasks concurrently, be detail and client service oriented. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel required. Must feel comfortable for being responsible for 75% of over $1.5 billion in payables.
