We are currently seeking a TELECOM ANALYST to join our growing MIS department!
Responsibilities include:ensuring proper administration and maintenance of voice and data services for a retail company with over 620 locations in 11 states.Monitor overall telecommunications systems performance, identifying poor quality lines, circuit utilization, cost reduction initiatives, service improvement opportunities and traffic analysis.Manage voice, data orders from receipt through scheduling, execution, and billing. Responsible for negotiating escalations with appropriate vendor management. Coordinate vendor and technician move/add/change/repair activity.Work with Onsite Resident PBX technicians and remote service technicians for management of Moves, Adds, and Changes from ordering to completionReceive, manage, resolve and close trouble tickets; coordinate activities with multiple vendors and field tech personnel. Act as contact for voice and data vendors in order to resolve service issues. Update and identify solutions in Help Desk tracking systemReview of invoices and vendor charges; initiating and following up on disputes and overcharges to ensure company is being billed in accordance with terms of contracts.Responsible for accurate inventory of all PBX integrated voice/data lines (POTS, PRIs, DIDs, Private Line) and equipment as well as maintaining up-to-date documentation. Ordering and coordinating the installation voice and data telecom servicesMaintain PBX and Voice Mail hardware and software inventories (e.g. Line cards, ports, licenses, media cards, unused extensions, etc.) and initiate expansion process prior to reaching system capacityManage PBX integrated peripheral technologies such as cordless phones, paging systems, ACDs, Music On Hold, etc.Management of company-wide toll free services and advance feature routingDetailed management of outbound call routing over best path voice and data trunksExperience with call accounting software and integration, including report execution and analysisOngoing daily support of voice/data activities and end user issues and requests.Research and/or Deployment of new voice/data technologies

To excel in this role, you must possess:a strong telecom background with a minimum of 5-8 years experience.Strong coordination, multitasking and project management skills are requiredUnderstanding various voice and data terminology, applications, and features as they apply to PBX and voice network functionalityYou must posses the experience and skills required to maintain the administrative processes necessary for inventory and billing integrity for a large suite of voice and data products.You must have functional knowledge of troubleshooting and diagnosis as it relates to telecom technologies, with an emphasis on various PBX/KSU manufacturers, products, and programming.Knowledge of cabling infrastructures and various cable mediums and terminationsThe ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems in a short amount of time is essentialLarge scale, multi-location voice and data service coordination experience is required. VoIP, Frame Relay, and MPLS is preferred.Experience with various VoIP systems with regard to deployment, troubleshooting, and metrics desiredExperienced knowledge of ACD systems, including deployment, multi-level statistical reporting, call behavior, agent assignments, etc. preferred.Nortel Option 81, Call Pilot and Symposium a definate plus
