We are seeking a candidate with excellent customer service skills, a quick learner and eager.  The position will be responsible for providing telecommunication support to the Store Support Center in regards to Avaya G3 PBX, Intuity Audix, TapIT Call Accounting, Digital Lucent/Avaya/AT&T telephone systems, Blackberry/Treo/various cell phone mobile devices, and knowledge with various types of wiring and wireless standards.  Additionally, this individual will assist with router and switch configuration, deployment, and inventory.

 

Position Responsibilities include, but, are not limited to:

 Technical SupportProvide direct technical support to the user community at the store support center and remote mobile users.Provide second level support to the help-desk as needed.Proactively monitor and report any network/Telco issues or potential issues.Maintain and update telecommunication diagrams, inventory, and documentation for accuracy.

 Provide telecommunication supportPhone moves, changes and additions at the store support center.Mobile/wireless activations, upgrades, and de-activations for the store support center and remote users.BlackberryTreoVerizon mobile devicesWiring and circuit managementFiber single mode/multi-modeCat5/5e/6RJ-45/11Phone linesT-1 and fractional linesPOTS linesISDN lines

 Assist in WAN/LAN monitoring and troubleshooting.Provide phone support to wiring technicians during new store roll-outs and moves.Implement router configuration from predetermined templates.Router deployment.Cisco IOS upgrades.Monitor and log network deficiencies, degradations, and customer complaints. Execute proper escalation procedures during outages or when instructed.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

2-5 years of telecomm support experience

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred

Knowledge of Avaya G3 PBX, Intuity Audix, TapIT Call Accounting, Digital Lucent/Avaya/AT&T telephone systems, Blackberry/Treo/various cell phone mobile devices, and various types of wiring and wireless standards preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
