Trim Buyer, Women's Collection

Purpose and Scope: Purchase sample and stock trims and provide specific information to Production teams regarding all developed and produced trims.


Responsibilities:



Interface with Design, Merchandising, and Production teams to understand trim needs for upcoming season. Communicate regularly with trim suppliers.
Follow development of new trims as they are sourced. Generate Trim Cards (T/C #?s) once trims are speced and maintain all pertinent information throughout approval status of both sample and stock.
Collect and document stock pricing/lead-time/minimum and surcharge information for each trim card.
Negotiate prices and timing with suppliers for samples and stock.
Generate Trim tracking schedule for sample and stock and distribute weekly to production team and factories.
Responsible for monitoring the timely approval and receipt of all trims in accordance w/ production calendar.
Send Design and Product Development teams a reference of sample and stock approved trims.


Job Requirements:



College degree.
3-5 years related experience.
Strong computer skills. Knowledge of Excel, AS 400 and Web PDM.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and follow up skills.
