We’re a leading consumer-driven footwear company and wholesale supplier of women’s fashion shoes to U.S. department stores under brand names like Naturalizer, Via Spiga, Franco Sarto and LifeStride. We’re a marketer and supplier of brand-name, private label and licensed footwear to department stores, mass-merchandisers, and independent and specialty stores.Position Accountabilities: Assures design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of strategies to meet long-term corporate-wide buying needs including: Sales, margins and inventory turns that meet or exceed financial objectives Brand and key item dominance through strong vendor relations Buys that produce minimal liabilities Assures strong participation in cross-functional business planning to provide a future vision of product buying as related to the company’s competitive positionPosition Essential Functions: Develops strong vendor relations (preline, price negotiations, exit strategies) to maximize customer satisfaction and margin Analyzes historical data to track result of buys and the affect on profitability Develops, purchases and execute promotional events Partners with Merchandise Planning & Allocation to maximize inventory efforts Partners with Visual Merchandising and Marketing to develop and execute sales initiatives Sets product strategy in accordance with understanding of marketplace Oversees work of Buying DepartmentMinimal Requirements: Educational Preference: College Degree Job Experience Preference: 10+ years Buying Experience Previous supervisory experience Software/Hardware Experience Preference: Microsoft Office, ExcelAble to Form Long-Term Relationships
