We’re a leading consumer-driven footwear company and wholesale supplier of women’s fashion shoes to U.S. department stores under brand names like Naturalizer, Via Spiga, Franco Sarto and LifeStride. We’re a marketer and supplier of brand-name, private label and licensed footwear to department stores, mass-merchandisers, and independent and specialty stores.Position Accountabilities: Assures continuous development of strategies, plans, processes and systems which align directly with retail information needs including: Highly effective technical solutions that solve business problems and deliver bottom-line results Streamlined delivery of scalable projects Competitive advantage for these organizations by use of technologies Technology plans, solutions, and systems designed for future growth of these business units Assures strong participation in cross-functional business planning to provide a future vision of technology and systems as related to the continued improvement in the retail business’ competitive position Assures strong cross-functional relationships as primary liaison between information systems and other functions in the retail area of the company to provide world class customer service to these organization Assures integrity, availability, and security of data, proprietary information and related intellectual property Assures that common technology standards are developed and used across retail, working in a collaborative fashion with all other IS senior managementPosition Essential Functions: Develops, maintains and manages a high performing applications organization composed of both internal and external resources, aligns resources to ensure opportunity maximization and assures the placement of people that maximizes their contribution to the business Working with customers and staff, continually provides thoughtfully developed high level work plans that guide the activities of all work teams and provides direction on staff’s key responsibilities, sets priorities and clearly and effectively communicates to customers Consults with management and reviews project proposals to determine goals, timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, high-level staffing requirements and allocation of resources Ensures all projects are well justified, well planned, well executed and provide the anticipated benefits to the company. Demonstrates a tenacious resolve for results and inspires others to strive for remarkable performances Provides discipline around solid financial management of projects and controls all financial aspects relating to retail systems With the help of other senior managers, insures that solid governance processes and procedures are in place and judiciously followed In unison with other senior IS managers, works to unify IS organizationally and technically through the pursuit of common goals Actively listens to customers and makes sound decisions based on what they want and demand Helps to create and realize new opportunities for the retail areas and provides leadership to provide new and enhanced systems platform for those organizationsPosition Specifications: Educational Preference: Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience Job Experience Preference: Software/Hardware Experience Preference:Communication Skills
