Job Location: La Mirada, CA 90638 Status: Part Time, Employee Industry: Retail Visual Display Associate Position SummaryStein Mart is currently seeking a fun, fashionable, fresh and friendly person to join our Store Team as a Visual Display Associate. We are looking for someone who can create visual displays that in turn create a visually pleasing shopping environment, study visual display and fashion merchandising concepts, provide information and communication about visual displays, and contribute to team efforts to reach store goals. Primary ResponsibilitiesMarketing and merchandising by creating displays and placing merchandise for maximum appeal, following written and verbal guidelines to assure that appropriate visual displays, merchandise and signage are set to publicize merchandise, special events; Planning and studying concepts for visual display; coordinating actions with the Store Management Team to discuss plans for setting visual displays; Ensuring high quality floor maintenance; providing information and maintaining communication; preparing short term plans to reach objectives; contributing to team efforts; assisting in minimizing loss of company assets; offering suggestions, information and training for visual display strategies and techniques. Preferred QualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalent (GED), 1-2 years applicable retail work experience; Fashion merchandising skills; Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing; Should exhibit a strong interest in working with people; Results oriented, willingness to follow through, make informed decisions, complete tasks and problem solve; Proven ability to adapt to and implement the changes required in a fast paced retail environment; Moderate physical effort required, Standing and walking will constitute 95% of a work shift, Stooping and lifting various merchandise contents of up to 20lbs. or more on an as needed basis; Ability to identify colors. Our BenefitsIn addition to competitive benefits and compensation, we offer a dynamic and friendly work environment where dedication and hard work are recognized and rewarded.
