VISUAL MERCHANDISER

 

This visual merchandising position focuses on the ability to create vignettes within the showroom that have a believable “home” atmosphere. Our job as visual merchandisers is to present merchandise at its best.

 

We are seeking someone with the knowledge to coordinate, accessorize, and display merchandise that will cause the customer to look and buy.  Our merchandisers are self starters but they must be able to work in a team environment as well. This department is an extremely fast paced environment which requires high motivation, organization and responsiveness.

 

ResponsibilitiesWork within a Merchandising team to set floor displays Create and maintain visually stimulating vignettes Hang pictures, fill ledges and tables with accessories and coordinate lamps with bedrooms and living rooms Fill ledges and tables with accessories and coordinate lamps with bedrooms and living rooms

 

Qualifications

Excellent attention to detail

Creative ability for style and color

Light computer & mathematical skills

Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs Must be able to climb 6ft ladder Must be 100% team oriented Must be self-motivated and able to complete many tasks with minimal supervision At least 2 years of visual merchandising experience Understanding global consumers, trends in market, & developing retail strategies Effective planning, organizational & time management skills
