Visual Merchandising Coordinator - Hardlines Position Summary: The Babies R Us Visual Merchandising Coordinator for hardlines will be responsible to coordinate and execute design and production of all hardlines and point of purchase displays for Babies R Us stores nationwide. This position will partner with vendor community and internal associates including those from creative, merchandising, store planning and retail operations.  Responsibilities ¨ Design and Create inspiring point of purchase displays and end cap presentations.  ¨ Develop and write store communications for Visual Merchandising standards, floorsets and initiatives using photography, illustrations, floorset maps and execution schedule. ¨ Participate in prototype set-ups, floorsets and sign reviews to ensure brand integrity in all visual and merchandising initiatives. ¨ Partner with the marketing and creative departments for sign related requirements and ensure they are brand friendly and on schedule. ¨ Oversee the roll out of all visual presentation materials such as signing, fixturing and promotional materials. ¨ Manage budgets for projects and initiatives including signing, fixturing and capital expenditure support. ¨ Manage and maintain the library of signs and Visual Merchandising support materials. ¨ Coordinate visual merchandising packages for new store openings  Position Skills & Qualifications Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this position.  ¨ Strong computer skills with a preferred knowledge of MacIntosh operating systems.  ¨ Proficient computer program skills using Quark, the Adobe Creative Suite or similar graphic programs in a creative environment is required.  ¨ Pre-press print design experience.  ¨ Experience with Microsoft Office programs is preferred.  ¨ Ability to easily learn new software applications in a short period of time. ¨ Knowledge of in store signing systems.  ¨ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ¨ Excellent time management and organizational skills. ¨ Self-motivated with ability to handle multiple projects concurrently. ¨ Strong attention to detail, accuracy and follow through. ¨ Ability to work with others at all levels including creative staff, external vendors, District Managers and store associates. ¨ Some travel is required.
