This position will report directly to the General Merchandising Manager and you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing merchandise for our “Back in the Saddle” catalog which is a Home Décor, Giftware & Apparel/Accessories catalog.  You should have a strong background in product development, and be an experienced equestrian, or arm-chair enthusiast with a history of equestrian experience.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 Provide a selection of merchandise for our “Back in the Saddle” customers by sourcing (foreign and domestic), negotiating pricing, purchasing, and overseeing delivery of goods.Analyzing product performance and assortment planning.  Product Development/Merchandising Equine consumer goods.

 

Requirements:The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience with product sourcing and merchandising with in-depth knowledge of major domestic and foreign import sources related to home décor, women’s apparel and jewelry; or direct sourcing for equine products.Consumer catalog experience, specifically with home décor and apparel/accessories is desired.  Related store line or retail experience candidates will be considered.Prior catalog software experience desirable; Ecometry Software knowledge a plus.Computer literacy w/strong technical skills in MS Excel.  Ability to travel domestically and to foreign markets for trade shows is required.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
