Web Marketing Coordinator

SUMMARY: This position is focused on executing online marketing programs including but not limited to PPC, Social Media, SEO and Comparison Shopping. This role will assist with the maintenance and expansion of various online prospecting initiatives.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following as well as other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

 

§ Researches, develops and posts keywords and ad copy for PPC  programs; embeds various tracking codes in URL/Query string; bids for placement and monitors positioning and expenses

§ Creates custom landing pages for keyword groups, products themes and specific audiences

§ Identifies SEO opportunities through competitive analysis and keyword research; embeds keywords in anchor tags in content areas

§ Posts web content and meta data using web administration tools; refines current automated meta tag population at product-level

§ Creates keyword lists for guidance in blog postings, maintains blog content

§ Monitors search engine rankings; stays abreast of search engine ranking trends

§ Maintains and tracks Yahoo! Search Submit Express, Yahoo! Directory, DMOZ, etc.

§ Works with Web Marketing to improve search engine marketing copy throughout the site(s)

§ Improves and maintains meta data and indexed copy with keyword discovery research and testing; analyzes performance and conducts A/B Tests on SEO copy ranking/landing pages

§ Updates, expands and optimizes site maps

§ Engages in social media

§ Updates top entry and top exit pages per weekly reports

§ Positions products on Comparison Shopping Engines

§ Completes other duties as assigned by manager

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED SKILLS:

§  Ability to grasp and apply a variety of computer applications (databases, asset management tools, etc.)

§  Experience working with e-commerce sites

§  Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

§  Ability to problem-solve and work independently

§  Strong writing and communication skills

§  Team attitude

§  HTML, Photoshop and Flash proficiency desirable

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A/S.) in Marketing or similar, plus at least 1-2 years experience in web marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret numerical data. Ability to communicate effectively with manager on opportunities and liabilities discovered during the course of performing daily tasks. The ability to respond effectively with information relevant to questions asked of direct supervisor and any one else in the department.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with generally accepted analytical procedures. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
