Position Summary:

Zappos.com is looking for a Web Producer. This position coordinates the technical and content objectives for assigned projects including but not limited to implementing XHTML, CSS and JavaScript in line with creative designs and layouts. This position will work cross-functionally with our Development Team, Project Managers and Creative Content teams to ensure assigned projects are being completed on schedule.

Web Producer responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:XHTML/CSS coding/updating for assigned projectsDaily maintenance/updates to existing sitesCreates and maintains production schedules for new and ongoing projectsWeekly status reporting on projectsPlay an active role in re-examining current processes for ways to improve workflowSome web design projectsSome travel necessary

Required Skills:Ability to write standards based XHTML, CSS and JavaScript code and markupA strong understanding of modern web practices to create an efficient user-experienceModern layouts using tableless designA good understanding of cross-browser issues and their workaroundsThe candidate must be project minded and have proven experience with content management (a strong portfolio is required)Knowledge of SEO techniquesPreferred but not required: SSH, FTP, UnixExcellent written and oral communication skillsMust be able to provide at least 3 examples of Web production/ designing / developmentMinimum 3 years experience producing for the webConsistent with and exemplifies Zappos Core ValuesMust be a team player and open to changeFun and Friendly attitude
