EOE.SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the sales promotion of AIM Retail products to the retirement market - including financial advisors, broker dealers, banks, insurance companies, mutual fund co., selected TPA's and other service providers. Sales and promotion efforts can be throughout the U.S. with primary responsibilities for covering specific sales/regional offices to increase assets and market share of AIM Products.PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Works with Retirement National Sales Manager to develop an assigned territory of offices/clients. Based on customer needs, designs a systematic business plan to expand sales. 2. Works with Retirement National Sales Manager, National Accounts and Internal Wholesalers to implement a territory business plan that will expand AIM's current market share and overall visibility.3. Communicates regularly with Financial Advisors by personal visits and phone/email to ensure that their needs are being met and they are up to date and familiar with our products. Works with Retirement National Sales Manager, National Accounts, Internal Wholesalers and Relationship Managers to resolve any account problems that may arise.4. Activities include existing client group sales/wholesaler meetings, public seminars with clients, one-on-one sales activities and client service/admin group presentations.5. Prepares, delivers, and sometimes creates product presentations to both internal and external audiences.6. Represents AIM at industry conferences and meetings.7. Works effectively with internal staff, including operations and product management, to promote the success of the Retirement products and investment vehicles. 8. Works with counterparts in Retail and VI Marketing to coordinate a cohesive sales message to mutual clientsWORK EXPERIENCE: Five years or more years of Retirement field Wholesaling experience is required.SKILLS: Presentation, communication (verbal and written) and selling skills, particularly in a consultative, relationship manner. Must also demonstrate initiative and the ability to implement and follow through on business plans and sales strategies. The ability to succeed in team environment is critical. Interpersonal skills required for communicating up to ninety percent of the work time with clients. Excellent analytical and organizational skills required to determine the needs of the advisors while communicating product information, and time management skills required in order to effectively meet the needs of the territorie(s).Must demonstrate knowledge of investment markets and products used as investment vehicles for retirement plans. Also, must have an understanding of all defined contribution retirement plans; IRA's, 403(b)'s, 529, 457 Deferred Comp Plans and other employee benefit plans. Working knowledge of reference resources, CCH and Tax Code is necessary. Personal computer proficiency required in order to use various software packages to enhance the company's marketing efforts. EDUCATION/TRAINING: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required. Knowledge of sales and marketing principles as acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field is preferred.LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION: NASD 7 and 65 or 66.
