eCommerce Merchandiser - Sperry Top-Sider

The E-Commerce Merchandiser will work closely with corporate e-commerce marketing team, brand marketing, and wholesale merchandisers to identify, plan, build, and evolve product strategies to maximize revenue growth and customer satisfaction. He/she will develop pre-season sales and inventory plans and manage the merchandising and planning of web site inventory in-season. He/she will provide analysis on product trends and research product selling to maximize sales and meet customer needs. He/she will be responsible for product focus in all e-mail blasts and homepages. He/she will support marketing sales efforts through positioning of existing products and launch of new products. RESPONSIBILITIES: ·  Develop and maintain on a monthly basis the sales and inventory seasonal assortment plans; implement strategies to achieve sales, inventory turn and gross margin goals, in line with market and consumer trends, competition and customer issues ·  Provide analysis, reporting, and forecasting information regarding web product sales·  Develop and manage product plans, sales tracking, margin, and inventory turn versus plan and LY ·  Responsible for all aspects of product management; back -end administration, product selection, internet specials, merchandising mix ·  Generate and review sales reports that will identify product trends and opportunities in key categories ·  Create action plans to fulfill daily backorder requests, work closely with customer service to service individual customer product requests·  Work closely with wholesale merchandising team to identify and develop new products or web exclusives ·  Ensure product availability and accuracy, as well as implement last chance clearance strategies·  Management of JDA; including style set-up, price/cost maintenance, replenishment parameter set-up/maintenance ·  Review web site to ensure each category is well populated to maximize sales, as well as developing cross-sell and up-sell strategies·  Provide daily flash sales report and extended Monday sales recaps to leadership team·  Perform product RTV’s to achieve inventory turn·  Monitor return rates on products to flag potential QA issuesREQUIREMENTS: This individual must have a Bachelors degree in Business or equivalent, with 3+ years of relevant merchandising work experience. Solid understanding of customer shoe buying experience online. Knowledge of e-commerce merchandising methodologies. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks. Outstanding analytical, math and organizational skills with attention to detail.  Ability to prioritize and organize effectively. Knowledge of Omnia, JDA-MMS, Radar a plus. Thorough understanding of back end systems to support and manage inventory planning. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong computer skills and a familiarity with the Internet. Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to be proactive.
