Assistant Security Manager

 

A well-known Columbus company is currently seeking an Assistant Manager for our Security Department.  As a critical member of the Security team your duties will include assuring top notch security services are provide to a wide variety of clients and sites across Columbus.  In the absence of the Security Department Head you will assume the responsibilities and ensure continued success. 

Qualifications:

§  Associates degree in Criminal Justice or related field and 1 year of Security and supervisory experience required.

§  Will consider High School diploma or GED with 3 years of Security and 2 years of supervisory experience

§  Must be at least 21 years of age with good oral and written communication skills. 

§  Must be able to conduct all functions of assigned sites to include patrols, escorts, training, and response to emergencies as needed. 

§  Requires a basic understanding and experience utilizing Microsoft Office products.

§  Must have dependable means of transportation and have telephone at place of residence. 

§  Must be accessible 24 hours a day for emergency staffing needs and as required by Security Manager. 

§  Must pass qualification for registration with the Ohio Department of Homeland Security and be licensed to perform security in the State of Ohio. 

§  Must pass criminal background check, drug test, and all additional background

checks that may be required by assigned sites. 

Responsibilities:

§  Provide supervision to multiple contract security accounts that are not under the direct supervision of an on-site supervisor and to provide supervisory coverage as needed at all additional contract sites as required by Security Services Manager. 

§  To function as Department Head in absence of Security Services Manager. 

§  Assure that proper Homeland Security certifications are obtained.

§  Function as an additional Staff Member/ Officer/supervisor in order to control overtime costs of the department. 

§  Control uniform inventory and maintain administrative training and overtime coverage needs.
