Job Description

Established in 1988, FJC Security Services, Inc. is the leading contract security guard firm in the New York Metropolitan area; with in excess of 4,300 security personnel and 118 million dollars in annual revenues. Our focus has been on an array of industry sectors through which FJC has been able in satisfying the security needs of a vast list of customers. FJC, with its experienced and proactive management and operations' teams continues its growth through a communicative and 'client first' methodology that has differentiated FJC as 'The Security Firm of Choice in America's Toughest Proving Ground'. 

To further our efforts toward continued growth we are seeking a Manhattan Business Development Manager (Retired ranking member of the Service only) to join the FJC sales team. This position offers the opportunity for a solid career within a growing and exciting industry.

As a Business Development Manager (Sales) based out of FJC's Manhattan office, you will be working within a competitive market place, while fostering relationships with Property Managers, Security Directors, Facility Managers, Administrators, and many others. The BDM will be expected to prospect through Cold Telephone Calling, Canvassing, Networking Functions and Trade Shows, as well as within other areas of opportunity. Additionally, the Manhattan BDM will utilize FJC's CRM program, accomplish monthly quotas and weekly reporting requirements while continually expanding their pipeline of prospects through contract closing.



The BDM candidate will be a former uniformed ranking member of the NYPD and possess:The ability to develop new business relationships. Strong presentation skills. Strong prospecting (Phone, networking, etc.) and negotiating abilities. The ability to multi-task and follow through on projects. Excellent communication and writing skills. A positive attitude and high-energy level. A trusting disposition and one of integrity. The ability to communicate a non-challenging difference of opinion. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including PowerPoint. A natural ability as a self starter.
