Electronic Technical Representative

Our continued success and growth has produced a need for an Electronic Technical Representative in our Cedar Rapids, IA location.  Responsibilities:· Provide technical service to customers on system to include, but not limited to: Fire Alarm, Security, Nurse Call, Intercom, Sound and Phone.·  Run assigned projects including panel installation, wire pulls, hooking up devices, system programming, and testing.  · Liaison with ECs and owners to maintain installation schedules, and scheduled tests.· Complete and turn in all Service and Project paperwork to the Service Coordinator and Project Manager in a timely manner.· Periodically be on-call for after-hour service, including weekends and holidays. · Report directly to the to the Electronic Operations Manager Minimum Qualifications:· A comfortable working knowledge with Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word.· Able to read blue prints.· Excellent customer relations and communications skills.· Working knowledge of standard electronic test equipment.· Basic understanding of DC circuits and troubleshooting of electrical faults on them.· Be able to achieve NICET Level II Certification or greater within two years.· Valid driver’s license  Only applicants that possess the minimum qualifications will be considered.  Candidates must successfully complete an employment background investigation and drug screening.  SimplexGrinnell offers excellent compensation and benefits program, including educational assistance, employee stock plan and matching 401(k) plan.  For more information on SimplexGrinnell, please review our home page at:  www.simplexgrinnell.com  SimplexGrinnell is an EEO Employer M/F/D/V Send this Job to a Friend View all "Tyco" jobs Learn more about Tyco
