Life Safety (Fire Alarm) Sales Representative Columbus, OH Job Description: The primary duty of this position will be to professionally and positively represent Koorsen Fire & Security and promote the sales of Fire Alarm, Clean Agents, Sound, & Structured Cabling to End Users and Contractors. The perspective candidate will be responsible for the entire sales process of quoting/bidding sales, negotiating terms, closing opportunities and ensuring profitable growth of the company in an enthusiastic and timely manner. Job Responsibilities: Business Development Ø Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company product offerings. Ø Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog that will support achieving the designated sales plan Ø Establish contact/relationships with end users & contractors to qualify potential buyers by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads and utilizing marketing strategies Client Service Ø Candidate must have the ability to establish and maintain relationships with End Users, Engineers & Electrical Contractors. Ø Responds to customer needs in an enthusiastic and timely manner Account Management Ø Assume account management responsibility including the provision and/or coordination of services (installation, customer training, etc.) to assure complete customer satisfaction Ø Investigate and resolve customer issues in regard to delivery dates, billings, financing and other related matters Ø Works with operations to ensure the timely completion of each job sold Qualifications: ü Self-motivated with dedicated client services focus and strong desire to succeed ü Be able to read, diagrams, blueprints and specifications. ü Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and the Internet to obtain answers to industry related questions ü Experience in the bidding/negotiating process ü Effective listening and questioning skills, strong verbal/written communication. ü Understanding of fire alarm systems, products, service, and design; knowledge of construction industry and familiarity with local and national fire codes are required ü National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET) Level II certification is desirable ü BS in Marketing or Business (desired but not required) Minimum Requirements: v Previous work experience in the Fire Protection or similar industry v Valid Driver’s License with clean DMV record In addition to a challenging and rewarding work environment, we offer a competitive salary with commission, company car allowance and comprehensive benefits package including: Medical and Dental benefits, 401(k) with an employer match.
