EOE M/F/D/V Learning Systems Specialist JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Participates in team involved in the configuration, implementation and management of the LMS. Uses LMS and LCMS to upload, code and maintain online and instructor-led courses, and online assessments. On request, works with Region Training Directors and Managers and other LMS administrators to update LMS student records, administrative rights, and course information; creates and runs LMS reports; advises users on LMS procedures. Works with Region and Corporate Training Managers and Directors, SCPD graphic artists; and SCPD Coordinators to establish and maintain:o Standards for LMS employee and administrator data configuration, including access rights and responsibilitieso Standards for LMS training and assessment data configurationo Standards for e-learning and print training material, including format, layout, graphics, images and content Publishes instructional content for the LMS using established protocols. Administers content publication for download from the intranet. Drafts instructional content using Articulate, Captivate, or Flash. Scripts content in Microsoft Word for Flash and rapid e-learning courseware. Works closely with Curriculum Development Manager and Instructional Materials Writer to design interactive exercises and recommend graphics and animation. Consults with graphic artists and multimedia designers to create finished e-learning courses ready for LMS publication. Uses Articulate Quizmaker, Captivate or LCMS assessment tool to draft assessments for publication on the LMS. Posts assessments to LMS using established protocols, and administers publication of downloadable assessment content to the intranet. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, education or related field required plus two year related experience. Experienced in e-learning and rapid e-learning content development theory and practice. Demonstrated proficiency in Articulate (or similar rapid e-learning software), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and basic Flash.
