Marketing/Sales Manager

Summary

Large Security Company is seeking a full-time experienced marketing/sales manager to develop/maintain customers associated with the provisioning of armed and unarmed guard services to various branches of the Federal Government (domestic and international).

This employee would be responsible for pursuing, as well as developing bid opportunities where the Company is either the prime contractor or a prime subcontractor to a small business.

 

ResponsibilitiesEstablish, grow and maintain a customer data base consisting of all federal agencies that do/will procure outsourced, private contractor supplied armed/unarmed security services.Determine/guide a winning bid strategy reflective of the customer’s requirements and the nuances of the particular tenderLead/manage proposal generation/submissionDirectly and consistently interface with customers and executive managementGenerate periodic and unique marketing reports and analyses Attend seminars, conferences and professional eventsActing as the customer’s advocate

 

RequirementsBA/BS degree in business administration or a related discipline preferredKnowledge of Federal Government contracting, military operations, program managementPrior operational/administrative experience in military operations/law enforcement (O-3/4, E-6/7/8), or federal (G-9/12) or civilian law enforcement is highly soughtFirst hand knowledge of the composition of security forces, both static and rovingExposure to “best value” procurementsImpeccable ethicsStrong communication skills in English – written verbalExperience working with Microsoft computer applicationsPresentation skills

 

AttributesPresent a sharp image with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skillsExhibit analytical, persuasion and problem solving skills relative to customer-based issues concerning an armed and unarmed security force/systemsAbility to manage multiple, high priority tasks simultaneouslyDemonstrate independent administrative and procedural decisions skills Capable of assimilating and critically evaluating information Strong organizational skills, especially as they pertain to the generation of proposals across a matrix organizationBeing unconditionally ‘customer-first’ focusedOrganizing and coordinating skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality of records, reports and information
