National Director of Sales and Business Development

Dallas-based IRIS Digital Video Systems is seeking a highly successful, creative, and forward-looking individual to lead its national sales and business development team.  The successful candidate will have five to eight years experience with selling  digital video systems and/or physical/electronic security systems and managing a field-based sales team.  Experience in the financial services industry is a plus!  This position will also manage and grow the existing nationwide dealer program.  IRIS has been a DVR industry leader since 1994.

 

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

 

The National Director of Sales and Business Development will report direct to the President.  This position will be responsible for providing day-to-day direction and support of the field-based sales team.  Key to this position will be the support and training for existing dealers and new dealers.  Sales support will be provided to in-house accounts. 

 

Additional duties include development or updating of collateral material to support the dealer base and in-house selling efforts.  Participate in selected industry shows.  As part of the IRIS team, participation in engineering and production meetings will take place. 

 

To meet all of these requirements, extensive travel may be required.

 

Requirements:

 

The successful candidate for this opening will have the following experience:

 Be a team player.Undergraduate degree required.Five to eight years managing, leading, and evaluating a sales force.Excel at listening skills, and the desire to exceed customer expectations.Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, for internal and external communications.Financial industry experience is a plus, as well as previous CCTV and/or electronic security experience and physical security equipment.Be able to use MS-Office products and be familiar with CRM software.Travel frequently to support dealers, attend industry events and shows.
