Project Manager

Essential Nature Of Job:  Under the direction of the VP of Operations, this position is responsible for managing the projects.

 

Key Essential Work Performed:

 

1)  Administration of project contractually.

2)  Completion of projects within cost objectives, maximizing gross margin and profitability

3)  Maintain cost effective staffing levels, minimizing non-productive time, while still maintaining timely, professional installations with skilled, equipped personnel.

4)  Manage each project to ensure conformance with plans and specifications.  Deviations must be controlled, documented, and contractually administered.

5)  Schedule projects completely, coordinating responsibilities with other departments to ensure effectiveness.

6)  Maintain Safeguard’s image as a responsible, competent, and professional company.

7)  Coordinate with finance: Project invoicing, Change-order preparation & processing

Position Requirements:

 

1.)   BS/BA or equivalent work experience preferred.

2.)   5 Years experience in project management.

3.)   Excellent communication and customer service skills aimed toward resolving issues to customer's satisfaction a must.

4.)   Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and work with minimal supervision.

5.)   Successful track record of accomplishing goals, projects and tasks.

6.)   Strong written and verbal communication skills.

7.)   Ability to work under pressure

8.)   Proficient in MS Project, MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access

9.)   Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of the organization.

10.)   Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

11.)   Ability to collaborate with union officials and workers.

12.)   Construction experience is a plus.
